Annual Exams and Pap Smears
An annual exam is a vital step towards ensuring your long-term health and well-being. During your visit, your physician will take time to discuss your medical history and concerns. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have. Remember, your annual exam is all about you and your health.
You can most often expect a pelvic and breast exam, as well as a pap smear to test for early signs of cervical cancer. You may also undergo a test for HPV, or Human Papilloma Virus. HPV is a relatively common sexually transmitted virus that can potentially lead to cervical cancer. If you’re interested, please ask your physician about vaccinations to protect yourself from HPV. We also provide STI tests that may be administered based on your sexual history.
