Byrke O. Beller, MD

PWC Physician 2002-2021

January 6, 2021

To my dear patients,

First off, here’s to a better 2021! Last year was quite something, on so many levels.

This coming summer marks 19 years for me at Pacific Women’s Center. I have been in practice full-time for 23. That is 23 years in the most amazing job helping so many incredible women of Oregon. That said, it is also 23 years of long days, late nights, weekends, and holidays. To that end, the time has come for me to step back and transition to a part-time schedule. Time to smell the roses, hang out more with my wife and see old friends and more of the planet. Time to once and for all see if I can really become fluent in Spanish, time to brush up on my French. With this transition comes a move out of state. My last day at PWC will be Friday, May 28, 2021.

But do not despair. We already have an amazing doctor to replace me. His name is Brian Wakefield, MD and he is currently working at the University of Washington in Seattle. He brings with him an exceptional knowledge base, exquisite surgical skills, deep empathy for other human beings and a great sense of humor.  He is also extremely excited to be coming home to Oregon. He plans to start mid-August 2021. My wonderful partners will take care of my patients as needed until Dr. Wakefield begins.

So, we hope you decide to stay with PWC and let us continue to serve your Ob and Gyn needs.

As for me, it has been a distinct honor to play a small role in your lives. Ii am eternally humbled.

Be well,

Byrke Beller, MD
