Brian Wakefield, MD

Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility

*Accepting new patients for August 2021*

Dr. Brian Wakefield grew up just North of Eugene in Philomath and has fond memories of weekends at the Eugene Farmer’s Market and visits to the Country Fair. He graduated from Philomath High School before heading to Washington for undergraduate studies in Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish at Whitman College where he also competed on the varsity Swim Team. During two gap years in Colorado, he discovered an interest in Reproductive Medicine and Women’s Health while researching mechanisms behind preterm labor.

He graduated from medical school at the University of Virginia in 2017 and will complete residency at the University of Washington in 2021. He is excited to be joining Pacific Women’s Center Summer 2021.

Dr. Wakefield comes to Pacific Women’s Center with interests in contraception, low- and high-risk pregnancy, and medical and surgical management of common GYN complaints including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He strives to combine evidence-based medicine with a patient centered approach to help each patient find their best treatment option.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Wakefield enjoys any and all endurance sports including swimming, road and trail running, cycling, triathlon, and is currently working on mastering XC skiing. He is excited to explore the roads and trails around Eugene.
